Howard Schultz is an American businessperson. He was the CEO of Starbucks, from 1986 to 2000, and from 2008 to 2017, and its executive chairman, from 2017 to 2018. He once owned the Seattle SuperSonics.

Howard is the son of Elaine (Lederman) and Fred Schultz. He is married to Sheri Kersch, with whom he has two children.

Howard’s paternal grandfather was Harry Schultz (the son of Max Schultz and Beckie Hirbst). Harry was born in New York, to parents from Belz, Poland.
