Griff Furst is an American actor and film director.

Griff is the son of Lorraine (Wright) and actor/director Stephen Furst (born Stephen Nelson Feuerstein). Griff’s father was Jewish and Griff’s mother is mostly of English, Irish, and Northern Irish descent. Griff’s brother is television and film composer Nathan Furst.

Griff’s paternal grandfather was Nathan Feuerstein.

Griff’s paternal grandmother was Lillian Nelson (the daughter of Morris Nelson/Nisenson and Sadie). Morris was born in Russia, the son of Hirsch Nisenson/Nissenson and Molly Itzkowitz. Sadie was also from Russia.

Griff’s maternal grandfather was Arnold Ainley Wright, Jr. (the son of Arnold Ainley Wright, Sr. and Emily Mae Paul). Griff’s great-grandfather Arnold was the son of Joseph Henry Clifton Wright and Annie Baxendale. Emily is the daughter of James Paul and Jennie Morrison.

Griff’s maternal grandmother was Mary Helen Somers (the daughter of John Lawrence Somers and Loretta McBride). John was the son of John Somers and Mary. Loretta was the daughter of Hugh McBride, who was from County Donegal, Ireland, and of Mary Anne Coll, who was from County Down, Northern Ireland.
