Ginger Zee is an American television personality. She is the chief meteorologist for all ABC News’ platforms.
She was born in Orange, California, the daughter of Dawn (Hemleb) and Robert O. “Bob” Zuidgeest. Her father is Dutch, and was born in Rotterdam; he also has a smaller amount of German ancestry. Her mother is American. She has two brothers, Sean and Walter.
Ginger is married to media personality Ben Aaron.
Ginger’s paternal grandfather was Adriaan/Adrian Cornelis Zuidgeest (the son of Adrianus Cornelis Zuidgeest and Emma Paulina Wilhelmina Daniels). Ginger’s great-grandfather Adrianus was the son of Dirk Zuidgeest and Johanna Cornelia Van Der Waal. Emma was the daughter of Jurrien Daniels and Helena Levie/Levy, who was of German descent.
