Frank Forde was an Australian politician. A member of the Labor Party, he served as Prime Minister of Australia, from 6 July, 1945 to 13 July, 1945.

Prime Minister Forde was the son of Ellen (Quirke) and John Forde, a railway ganger. His parents were Irish immigrants. His father was born in Ballinaglera, County Leitrim, Ireland. His mother was born in County Tipperary, Ireland.

Prime Minister Forde’s paternal grandparents were Terence Forde and Margaret Harvey.

Prime Minister Forde’s maternal grandparents were John Quirke/Quirk and Johanna Nolan.
