Frank’s paternal grandfather was Francesco “Frank” Carlucci, Sr. (the son of Carlo Carlucci and Grazia “Grace” Napoliello/Napolellio). Francesco was born in Santomenna, Province of Salerno, Campania, Italy. Carlo was the son of John Angelo Carlucci.

  1. jackson9 says:

To add to the missing lineage (maternal grandmothers side of family), Frank Carlucci’s maternal grandmother was Susan A. Visscher (1881-1964), born in Syracuse, NY and died in Montgomery, Pennsylvania. Susan was the daughter of John Barent Visscher (1842-1911) and Clara Simons (1845-1924). John was the son of Harmon Visscher Jr.( 1802-1872) and Anna Chapman (1807-1888), (the daughter of English parents immigrating to Albany, NY). Clara was the daughter of Nathan Carver Simons (1819-1894) and Susan Amanda Adams (1819-1887). In conclusion, most of Susan A. Visscher (Frank Carlucci’s maternal grandmother) ancestry is English. However, “Visscher” is a Dutch surname that leads to the Netherlands far back to the early 1600’s. So for mothers ethnicity I would say English, distant/remote Dutch.
