Question to Kate: What is “Jennifer Lopez puerto rican”? I am puerto rican and have never met a pure puerto rican. Every puerto rican I know is mixed. Must of us are mixed with euoropean (Spain) and african (slaves brought by the spanish). I myself have Spanish, French, African, Arab, and Taino. The native puertoricans were Taino indians. To this date I have not met a pure taino, have you? I am sure that Jennifer Lopez is just as mixed as the rest of us.
I agree Evelyn is Puerto Rican, both her parents are puerto rican, and yes she is obviously mixed with something, but she is not half African American and puerto rican. Both of her parents just look very mixed like a lot of other puerto ricans
anselmo,no the tainos were not native puerto ricans,because when they were there ,pr didnt exsist,only after spain came and SETTLED did it become puerto rico,the tainos were either murdered or died of disease within 10 years of spain getting there.spain gave pr its language,culture and traditions.ALL our grandparents are spaniards not taino.it is spain that named the island,not tainos.it is a little insulting when so called puerto ricans come on here,state THEIR OPINION,and mistake it as fact.
