Evan Williams is an American billionaire technology entrepreneur and executive. He co-founded Twitter, along with Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, and Biz Stone, and was CEO of Twitter, Inc. He founded Blogger and Medium, and co-founded venture capital firm Obvious Ventures.

Evan is the son of Laurie and Monte Williams. He is married to Sara Morishige, with whom he has two children.

Evan’s maternal grandfather was Orlando Whiting Howe (the son of George Whiting Howe and Josephine Evalina Dodge). George was the son of Clarence Melville Howe and Phebe Exene Stanard. Josephine was the daughter of Peter Edwards, later Orlando A. Dodge, and Olive Anna Pickett.

Evan’s maternal grandmother was Helen Bernice Christensen (the daughter of Henry H. Christensen and Nellie Andrews). Helen was born in Minnesota. Henry was the son of Danish immigrants, John Christensen and Stine Kirstine “Christine” Andersen. Nellie was the daughter of Swedish immigrants, Johan Andersson, later John Andrews, and Alma Sophia Snell.
