She is the daughter of Michelle Yvette and Evan Anthony Pigford. Her middle name, Marcille, is a combination of the names of her grandmothers, Marjorie and Lucille.

Eva’s paternal grandfather was named Major Lincoln Pigford (the son of Abraham Lincoln Pigford and Clara Belle Johnson/Smith). Major was born in Seattle, Washington, to parents from Texas. He was African-American. Abraham was the son of Wright Pigford and Lucy/Lula Harrison.

Eva’s paternal grandmother was Marjorie Florence Rolls (the daughter of Percy Joseph Rolls and Marjorie Florence Pells). Eva’s grandmother Marjorie was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Percy was born in West Virginia, to African-American parents, Marshall Rolls and Margurette Black. Eva’s great-grandmother Marjorie was born in London, United Kingdom, to English parents, John Pells and Florence Swarder.

Eva’s maternal grandfather is named Lester Smith.

Eva’s maternal grandmother is named Lucille Tomlin (the daughter of Riley T. Tomlin). Riley was born in Texas, the son of William H. Tomlin and Lina Evans.

Why can’t she JUST BE AFRICAN AMERICAN? I am AA and have a light complexion and curly hair and people always ask if I’m mixed with something or if I’m half hispanic. I am 100% AA. My grandfather was Creole but I am still considered African American. So it is VERY POSSIBLE that she is only African American.

I was under the impression that she was mixed (Hispanic and African American)
