He is probably Sicilian. Sicilians often self-identify as Italian. Sicily is to Italy what Mexico (or rather Puerto Rico) is to Spain. Sicily is to Italy what Brazil and the Cape Verde Islands are to Portugal. The Moors, and Afro-Arab group invaded Sicily and “raped” the women. Descendents are a mixture of the Moors and the Italian. Some more Moorish than others. As with most cultures that have had any sort of dark/african infiltration, lighter skinned people in the region try to stay light. Therefore those who had a lot of obvious Moorish ancestry were probably (and on this part I am speculating) more likely to marry/reproduce with others like them. Pauly is probably nearly half Moorish through multigenerational breeding. the other half; Italian. Does he look half Egyptian and half Italian? I think so. That’s a pretty close comparison to what a Sicilian looking like he does probably is.
He’s human. That’s what matters most anyway, although I do find ethnicity to be fascinating. Especially with regard to the diaspora of colored people. It’s very interesting.
Italian men love beautiful women… period. I think many of them do have the obssession for what is rare among their own kind; blonde and fair. There is an elitism associated with whiteness related to the history fo the world. That said, an equal or at least a VERY close second may be GORGEOUS exotic women (who may/may not be partially black). Operative word: GORGEOUS. I have seen many men fall head over heels for a very plain blonde white woman, revering her as the ultimate catch. A woman of a darker kind must almost always be exponentially more attractive than her white counterpart to garner the same regard.
That’s just the way it is.

I am Italian, in Italy. The Sicilians are not half Italian half Arab (I’m not Sicilian). the sicily of Magna Greece before the Romans had a population of some thousands, especially in the southern belt (areas of Agrigento and Ragusa) the true population of the island took place between the Roman Empire and the Lombard-Norman domination. The Arabs arrived in 827 on the island were not those we see today. They were mostly Berbers, the result of the union of ancient Carthaginians and the Germanic tribes (Vandals, Suevi, Visigoths, Burgundians) who settled the first 400 years after leaving their kingdom in Spain: the vandalusia (modern Andalusia)and throughout their rule remained a rather small elite who then advanced to the Norman retired in the extreme west of Sicily.A typical Sicilian Mediterranean can be andy garcia for example, but rather typical Sicilian Norman or Lombard can be Eleonora abbagnato,Costanza caracciolo, Mario biondi etc
Today Sicily is (along with Sardinia) a region with a large ethnic diversity (ancient greek, romans, Normans, Lombards, Berbers, etc.). Investigate well, this guy has secure South American origins.

I have been told europeons r white, but its no big deal to me im human and my father is half italian/half greek and my mother is of scotts-irish & german descent. I make it easy and just say im italian cuz my last name IS italian

What is with all these people on here saying that Italian is white? Believe me, white people DO NOT consider Italians, Portugese, Spanish or anyone of ANY spanish decent WHITE. You can try and be politically correct all you want, but in the real world, guys like Pauly would never be called “white”. That is just the way it is.

@Rafael, are you serious? You must be pretty stupid to think the only white Italians are the ones mixed with German or Irish. My family is Italian and we are as light as any other white person, or lighter. So get a clue and step out in the real world. A lot of Italians are just tan because they over tan themselves or just claim to be Italian when they are not, or are mixed with something else, for example, most of the cast on the Jersey Shore. Also, a lot of Puerto Ricans are mixed. I know alot who look of mixed race, and much darker than most Italians. Italians are from Europe, therefore they are white/caucasian. There is a VERY SMALL percent of Italians that are mixed from invasians, like most Europeans. Learn your history and get over it people!

My mom is Portuguese, my dad is Sicilian. I can tell you that my mom’s family is Irish looking for the most part. I spent 2 weeks in mainland Portugal and Spain a month back, they can look Italian but mostly look like Brits/French/Irish.
