Cynthia’s maternal grandfather was Frank Justin Boniface (the son of Walter Clifford Boniface and Justine R. Wagner). Frank was born in Montana. Walter was born in Missouri, to a German father and a Canadian mother. Justine was born in Illinois, to an ethnic German father from France and a German mother.

Cynthia’s maternal grandmother was named Eleanor Tanner/Tonner.
