she looks MIXED not black. But yes in america she’s black because in america even if you are 1/8 black you’re black …
Look at her features, her skin is dark but her nose isn’t flat, she has a european nose.

It’s so irritating that humans know nothing about their own genetics.

        1. Skin tone has next to nothing to do with how mixed someone is. A mixed person is obviously going to variate between the tone of their father and mother.
        2. The one Drop rule is a racist rule that uses hypodescent to say that anyone with “black blood” is black because black is considered inferior according to the one drop rule. If you believe that then you’re racist and I have nothing to say to you.
        3. Does anyone even know what a full on black sub-saharan African looks like anymore? Probably not. The very dark skinned African children that are features in west African related pictures are a perfect representation of what a black African person may look like.

This part is true enough, just ask Neguinho da Beija.

I’m willing to bet, that the very people who used that rule, had black ancestors and just hid that fact.I mean even the guy who came up with the DNA test hated black people, until he tested himself.Coming up with 16% black African DNA(it’s fascinating how fast he change his mind).

I seeing from your comment, that you limited black people to the sub-sahara. However I do understand that this is the wrong information they teach people.I don’t know if those kids are a perfect representation of what a black African person may look like.Because from my study,sub-saharans go from butter brown to what you would call black(to so black their purple).Which (imo) 20% of the sub-saharan population actually being what you would call black.I’m basing my opinion off what my teacher brought back,he goes to Africa often. The guests he invites, and t.v only shows you what they want you to see of Africa.

I keep asking this, what exactly is a black person supposed to look like?Because the majority of my entire family, has a caucasian phenotype.Does this mean we aren’t black people anymore?Because we certainly see ourselves that way. Also the Caucasian phenotype,is not exclusive to white europeans. Others including black Africans have that phenotype naturally. Now about that 1/8 thing.(imo)most of the white people who are this, most likely would see themselves as white people. There is a bit of a double standard for white people, where they really don’t follow that rule.If they did follow the rule, the white population would drop dramatically. That’s why when it’s brought up that a white person has a black ancestor, you read comments like your just trying to turn them black.

if both of your parents are African American then you are African American. African American implies a mixity but it doesn’t mean you’re full African nor black. You must go to West Africa and see what full black people look like.
I’m approximatly 30% African, I don’t consider myself black but multiracial, I’m not ashamed of my African heritage but I’m NOT black, I don’t have African features, I’m light skinned, I have wavy hair so why would I be black ?
Claudia Jordan isn’t black, not even full African American but mixed, her mother is white and her father African American. If her skin tone was lighter she could pass for a south european woman.
It also depend on the culture.
In Hispanic countries, a black person is someone really dark with african features but a light skinned person is considered mixed or “mulatto” .

Ok you consider yourself multiracial, that’s fine with me. However I’ve always took offense to that word( multiracial). To me it sounds like people still believe black and white or whomever are different species; saying mixed doesn’t bother me thou.

Now why just west Africa?Ethiopians I work with, tell me they are the true black people. Also Non mixed Africans have multiple features. Those west Africans you keep bring up,are just one aspect of a very big place.I would put up pics, but the site trips sometimes. Now saying your a black person,is not just about features. Now(wavy hair, and light skin etc) is by no means a rarity in the African American Community.MY family is flooded with those traits, yet we still call ourselves black people. This is also why I often bring up,that caucasian doesn’t mean your white. My mother side of the family,is pretty much a rainbow coalition(black, white, Asian etc. is in it).The dark skin ones are caucasian(their features are sharper than Claudia’s).This is why some anthropologist wanted to split Africans up.The ones who actually went to Africa, saw that the Negroid category didn’t fit all Africans. That groups right next to each other, could have different phenotypes.

Ok I’m not trying to make you mad or anything, but your contradicting yourself here.Your wrote in the first part of your comment, that AA doesn’t mean full black, and that it hints that your mixed. However later you write,( not even full African American but mixed, her mother is white).
Isn’t that the meaning of AA?

Now the word “mulatto” ,that at one time was a n insult. However, you see how people turn it around to empower the word. It’s the same thing with the word Black, however I can see alot of people still taken offense to the word.

Nope, the average European doesn’t have black ancestry and only 4% of white Americans do, just like most black people do not have white or any significant white ancestry.
