Her folks are descendants of Irish immigrants. English is NOT a nationality, it is an ethnicity, after the Angles (Engle), a Germanic tribe. England’s named after them

Tweedy is a common name in the south east of Ireland and her mother’s maiden name is Callahan also Irish. She is from a large catholic family, so it’s pretty clear that she is of Irish ethnicity. Most English Catholics are of Irish origin, while 1/4 of English people have an Irish grandparent, most common in the major cities.

I’ve noticed he thinks everyone who was born in the U.S.A. is of english descent, when the most common ethnicities are German and Irish. :)
And yep, he’s obsessed with blonde hair and blue eyes!

@ Nathan, in response to your, “no i dont think so ther ebe just as many english there as there is hear” comment. That’s impossible. There’s only like, 6.5 Million people in Ireland. o.o Common sense? :/ And to claim Irish citizenship, their grandparent would be obviously Irish by blood as well as by nationality.

It’s not that difficult to believe.. If you go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_people
You’ll see that the total population of Irish people is estimated around 80,000,000.
14,000,000 of them are in the UK.

    Hope you’ve learned something.

@ Ingrid, thank God someone agrees!
