Here is a pic of Cassie with her mother. Also here’s a pic of her two grandmothers. She stated her ethnicity in the interview below, and refers to her mother being Black and her father being Filipino. However in a 2008 edition of Complex, she stated that she has Mexican heritage too.

minnie, Aiko is such a japanese name and a very nice one too. You probably have Japanese characters for your name too. Ai could mean ‘love’ and ko usually means ‘child’.

obviously her mexican and filipion (more filipino) was the dominant gene, are people forgeting than she is mixed, you dont have to look black to be mixed with it. i am half Japanese, west Indian cuban and Jamaican, and according to most people I resemble more to my Cuban side . it just depends how you come out i guess.
