Here is a pic of Cassie with her mother. Also here’s a pic of her two grandmothers. She stated her ethnicity in the interview below, and refers to her mother being Black and her father being Filipino. However in a 2008 edition of Complex, she stated that she has Mexican heritage too.

What a crock of shit. She is being interviewed by filipinos so of course she is going to say she is half filipino. Im filipino myself and i will admit she seems to have more afromexican blood. If you dont know what that means then look up Shar Jackson and Stacey Dash. I bet that she will say she is half mexican when she gets interviewed by a mexican journalist. Its all about popularity and she sure does have the three best ethnic groups running through her veins. Look at how many famous celebrities just happen to be Black, Mexican Latino and filipino.

If you think about it, its hard to tell by genetics. If this is true, she will be %50 Asian, 25% Black, and 25% Mexican. So mainly Asian. However, the Philippines do have a Spaniard population, so she can be mixed with some European, maybe. Being Black, mostly you are African with a percentage of Native and or White/European. So maybe. Last Mexican. Mexico, is a Spanish speaking country because of the Spanish, so there could be a little more Spanish European, possibly.

Created hyped up pedigree to make it in the entertainment industry. Oh Lord. I wish these folks who are this and that know that what makes them beautiful is that little bit of precious melanin African blood running through their veins…and you can run from that melanin and claim this and that, but guess what when you hit 40 you will be glad that it kept you from becoming a shrinking wrinkling violet.

WTF? OK folks I came past this site at someone’s house. My close associate is a Cultural Anthropologist by trade. I actually have met several of the celebrities on this site as my best college mate is a producer in L.A.
Many of you say someone looks or doesn’t look one way or another are by and large not educated to many racial and “cultural” mixes so to speak.
First off. Her mother is Mexican/African blood. Before Euros came to Mexico they were the bloodlines of Native Americans. Bloodlines that came from the Asian continent. If you travel to Asia, where I have lived and studied, you will see people with white skin and thin lips as well as round or broad noses and full lips. There were no borders and natives travelled through the north and to the south of the Americas. Some white hued while others darker.
Since Euro colonialisation and slavery, Mexicans are native blood and Euro and African mostly. they are called Mestizos. Some have less white blood/ some more some especially to the south east have varying degrees of black blood. If you travel through Mexico you will see that this Cassie girl (who I never heard of or saw until now) looks like many mixed girls in Mexico. Now remember many Mexicans have Euro blood. (Not only Spain. and BTW Spain was mixed with North Africans and some Morish blood. Many Moors have sub-Saharan or “black” blood. But that is a different story..there is some mix in Spain too. Sometimes it shows up in some people. Travel Spain not just one city or visit.)
Filipinos were colonized by Spain and mixed. Already there is a Chinese and Pacific Islander mix as well as a Euro component. There are a small percentage of non white or Asian blood in some Filipinos. Well before Americans there were the Negritos and other ethnic groups in the Philippines. They had African bloodlines before North America.
So this girl has Philippines bloodlines/African bloodlines/Mexican bloodlines and all of those bloodlines are mixed before her birth. When she moved her shaved head to the side I can see similarities of her bone structure to several African models I have met in New York during the Bryant Park shows. So it is the AMALGAM of racial mix in her that gives her this “exotic” look so to speak. When you travel to places like Vietnam and expect to see white Asians, don’t be surprised when you see descendents of the Cham and Khmer people to the south who have entirely more dark and round features. I have seen dark Cambodian girls with beautiful full lips and round noses. Of course they try to lighten up because of EuroFrench colonizing. The sexiest thick African type of lips i ever saw were on a brown Vietnamese girl.
So everyone says this girl looks like this and that…you are all right. If you exclude something you are wrong. When you see more of the world you will know. When you see brown Chinese you will be surprised. The ones you usually see are the HAN ethnic group which is dominant.
