Here is a pic of Cassie with her mother. Also here’s a pic of her two grandmothers. She stated her ethnicity in the interview below, and refers to her mother being Black and her father being Filipino. However in a 2008 edition of Complex, she stated that she has Mexican heritage too.

A friend of mine knows Cassie’s Mom (we all lived in the same town) and as far as she knows, her mother was black period: no “West Indian” no “Mexican”. The more famous Cassie got, the more “varied” her background. Her father is in fact Filipino. Her Mom? Black.
