Carmen Sevilla was a Spanish actress, singer, dancer, and television presenter. She was one of the biggest stars of Spanish cinema. Her films include Imperial Violets, Don Juan (1956), Vengeance (1958), King of Kings, Searching for Monica, and Antony and Cleopatra (1972). She performed coplas, boleros, and tangos.

Carmen was the daughter of Florentina Galisteo Ramírez and Antonio García Padilla. She was married to Vicente Patuel, until his death. She had a son with her former husband, composer, arranger, and music director Augusto Algueró. Augusto composed many of her songs.

Carmen’s paternal grandfather was named José García Rufino.

Carmen’s paternal grandmother was named Catalina Padilla Ragares.
