Bruce Dickinson is an English singer, songwriter, musician, airline pilot, entrepreneur, author, and broadcaster. He is the lead singer of the band Iron Maiden.

Bruce is the son of Sonja (Hartley) and Bruce Dickinson. He is married to Patrice M. “Paddy” Bowden, with whom he has three children.

Bruce’s patrilineal ancestry can be traced back to his fourth great-grandfather, Joseph Dickinson (c. 1765, Hoyland, Yorkshire [now South Yorkshire] – July 1852, Hoyland).

Bruce’s paternal grandfather was Maurice Dickinson (the son of Amos Dickinson and Ada Nelson). Maurice was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire (now South Yorkshire). Amos was the son of George Dickinson and Hannah Crawshaw.

Bruce’s paternal grandmother was Ethel May Chandlen (the daughter of William Chandlen and Emily Eliza Hurst). Ethel was born in March, Cambridgeshire. William was the son of David Chandlen and Elizabeth Ann Cracknell. Emily was the daughter of Edward Hurst and Elizabeth Ann Miller.

Bruce’s maternal grandfather was Austin Hartley (the son of an unknown father and Ethel May Hartley). Austin was born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. Ethel was the daughter of Arthur Hartley and Sarah Ann Marshall.

Bruce’s maternal grandmother was Lily May Booker (the daughter of John William Booker and Mary Fores). Lily was born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. John was the son of William Booker and Catherine Charlotte Ridge. Mary was the daughter of Charles Fores and Harriet Hopkinson.
