Brock Lesnar is an American professional wrestler, mixed martial artist (MMA), amateur wrestler, and professional football player. He is also a Canadian citizen. He was signed with the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL).

Brock is the son of Stephanie and Richard Lesnar. His father is of half Polish and half German descent. His mother is of at least part Norwegian ancestry. Brock attended the University of Minnesota, where he competed as an amateur wrestler. Along with his WWE stardom, he is a decorated NCAA wrestler, and became the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion during UFC 100 on July 11, 2009.

Brock is married to model, actress, and professional wrestler Sable (born Rena Marlette Greek). He has two children with his former fiancée Nicole McClain; and two children with Sable.

Brock’s ethnicity has many intrigued, as his enormous physique leaves one wondering what people could produce such a freak of nature. The UFC did not even have gloves that would fit his enormous hands.

Brock’s paternal grandfather was Edward Casper Lesnar (the son of August Lesnar/Lesner and Martha Ann Biczchowski/Krzebiatkowski). Edward was born in South Dakota. August was born in Poland, and was the son of Józef/Joseph Lasnart/Lesnar (whose parents were Anton Lasnart/Lesnar/Lesner and Marianna Heva Naczk) and Rosalia Eva Miotke (the daughter of Franciszek/Franz “Frank” Miotke and Paulina/Pauline Uzdrowska/Uzdrowski). Brock’s great-grandmother Martha was born in South Dakota, the daughter of Polish parents, Julius Krzebiatkowski, from Zbychowo, and Anna Burzyńska/Burzynski, from Kielno.

Brock’s paternal grandmother was Myrtle Dorothy Baule (the daughter of John Baule, Jr. and Minnie L. Pigors). Myrtle was born in South Dakota. John was born in Iowa, to German parents. Minnie was German.

Brock’s maternal grandfather’s surname was Bakke. The surname is Norwegian.

I’m from South Dakota. I’m 6’2” 220lbs and that makes me average size there. My brother-in-law’s father owns the farm next to the Lesnar farm. He is of Norwegian decent.

    • Lou says:

J is correct, there is alot of Norwegian blood in that area. And it is true, there are just some very large and athletic people in the upper midwest. If you want evidence just watch the worlds stongest man competitions and look at the northern europeans competing. These are men that are not neccesarily ripped, but just strong and thick. I have lived in the farming and construction field in the Minnesota/Dakotas area and have seen some guys that are freakishly strong (no supplements or steroids) that have normal diets. I really don’t know what it is but some people are born blessed weather its intelligence or strength.

    • Chris says:

Yeh J thank you for that clarification, I was hoping to see someone that may have known him to give more info on Brock,

I live in west central MN and Webster SD is only just an hour drive from where I live. And most people around here are of Norwegian and German heritage. I have hunted and fished in Webster many times (even near the Lesnar farm) in my life and have seen quite a few Norwegian flags in some peoples yards. I would say 90% of the caucasian in that area are of Norwegian and or German descent. The farm areas of North and South Dakota as well as Minnesota are home to some very big people most of which are of Scandinavian or German Descent. I myself am 6′ 2″ and 205 lbs and would be considered average or even small in some groups.

    Brock Lesnar is a BEAST

  4. ethnic says:

    Thats very possible.

  5. some guy says:

He’s most likely to be of Scandinavian northern european heritage.

    • To some Guy says:

Lesnar is CLEARLY of Mostly German heritage, if not completely. Scandinavian blue eyes are VERY distinguishable, and Lesnar does not have the typical blue eyes of people of Scandinavian heritage. His eye Color indicates to me he is either of German, Dutch or Russian heritage. Due to where he was born statistics just about rule out Russian and Dutch Heritage leaving only the German. That is not saying he is of %100 German heritage, but indicates he is mostly if not completely German. However some Scandinavian blood could be in his family tree, if that is the case it would be significantly less then %50.
