Brett Young is an American country pop singer, songwriter, and guitarist.

He is married to Taylor Mills, with whom he has two children.

Brett’s paternal grandfather was Robert William Young (the son of Ernest Ditto “Tex” Young and Petra Alda Gillins). Robert was born in Manderfield, Utah. Ernest was the son of Robert Beverly Young and Emily Clemenzy “Emma” Giles. Petra was from a Mormon family, and was the daughter of Frederick William Gillins and Sarah Ellen Eyre, both of whom were born in Utah, to English parents. Sarah’s parents were from Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, respectively.

Brett’s paternal grandmother was Bonna/Bonnie Lea Nolze (the daughter of Charles Frederick Nolze and Rachael/Rachel C. Mitchell). Bonna was born in Clearwater, Nebraska. Charles was the son of Ernest F. Nolze, who was born in Nebraska, to a German father and a Norweigan mother; and of Edith E. Graham. Rachael was the daughter of Hayden William Mitchell and Mollie Mulvinia Mummert.

Brett’s maternal grandfather’s surname was Munns.
