Betty Hutton was an American actress, comedian, dancer, and singer. Her sister was actress Marion Hutton.

She had two children with her former husband, camera manufacturer Ted Briskin, and a daughter with her former husband, jazz trumpeter Pete Candoli.

Betty’s paternal grandfather was Thomas Havilah Thornburg (the son of Edward M. Thornburg and Elminah Mason). Edward was the son of Jacob Thornburgh and Rachel Hammer. Elminah was the daughter of Edmond/Edmund Mason and Elizabeth Haworth.

Betty’s paternal grandmother was named Anna/Ann Elizabeth Brown.

Betty’s maternal grandfather was Orlon James Lum (the son of Francis S. Lum and Maria Elizabeth Bertram). Francis was the son of Sheldon Lum and Elizabeth Countryman. Maria Elizabeth was Canadian.

Betty’s maternal grandmother was Paulina “Lena” Wagner (the daughter of Henry Andrew Wagner and Emma Marie Hadtlander). Paulina was born in Nebraska, to German Prussian parents.
