Anna Maria Pérez de Tagle is an American actress and singer. She is known for her roles in Disney’s Camp Rock and series Hannah Montana, and in the film Fame (2009).
She is the daughter of Filipino parents, Evelyn Enríquez and Archie La Torre Pérez de Tagle. Her grandmother was Filipino singer, actress, and radio star Sylvia La Torre. Her cousin is actress Sarita Pérez de Tagle. She is married to Scott Kline, Jr., with whom she has a daughter.
Anna’s paternal grandfather is Celso Ortega Pérez de Tagle (the son of Juan Pérez de Tagle y Domingo, or Juan Domingo Pérez de Tagle in Filipino, and of Otilia Ortega y Carvajal, or Otilia Carvajal Ortega in Filipino). Juan was the son of José Pérez de Tagle and Carmen Domingo. Otilia was the daughter of José Álvaro Ortega and Hipólita Carvajal.
Anna’s paternal grandmother was Sylvia Reyes La Torre (the daughter of Olimpio “Olive” La Torre and Leonora Reyes). Sylvia was born in Manila. She was known as “The Queen of Kundiman” and “The First Lady of Philippine Television.” Olive was a director. Leonora was an artist.

HA! I knew she was Filipino! I used to think she was Latino (last name and all), but I was thinking, “She looks a bit Asian to me.” But then, I realized that Spanish surnames are common in the Philippines, so HA!
Yeah but she also has Irish ancestry as well.
That might be true but if you ask many Filipinos a lot of them would say they have Filipino, Chinese, Spanish ancestry. But it goes back generations.

OMG! i didn’t know that Anna was filipino!? I am too! I was born in Laoag, Phillippines! But Anna Marie Perez de Tagle looked thai and chinese, and even a little mongolian… :) Arent filipinos supposed to be tan? Thats why i didnt think that Anna was filipino… Oh well… :) I have so much respect for her now!
