Andrew Ridgeley is a British singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. He was a member of pop duo Wham!, with George Michael.

Andrew is the son of Jennifer, a teacher, and Albert Mario Zacharia/Ridgeley. His father was born in Cairo, Egypt, to a Jewish family, from Egypt, Italy, and Yemen; raised in Cairo, he moved to Britain in 1953, at the time of the Suez crisis. He changed his name to Ridgeley, after Ridgeley Gardens. Andrew’s mother is English, from Brentford, Middlesex, England. Her maiden name, Dunlop, is Scottish.

Andrew’s maternal grandfather was named John F. Dunlop.

Andrew’s maternal grandmother was named Betty D. Davey.
