Anabel’s paternal grandfather was editor, director, producer, and actor George Englund (born George Howe Ripley; the son of Harold Austin “Rip” Ripley and Mabel Albertson). George was adopted by his mother’s second husband, Ken Englund, whose surname he took; the surname Englund is Swedish.

Mabel, an actress, was the daughter of Russian Jewish parents, Leopold “Leo” Albertson and Flora Craft. Mabel’s brother, Anabel’s great-great-uncle, was actor, comedian, dancer, singer, and musician Jack Albertson.

No, the links to his prominent ancestors were removed :(

I think it’s interesting to have the link to famous ancestors there to click on, even if they don’t have an Ethnicelebs page, especially if they contain information that was interesting or useful when researching the genealogy.

I moved one link to external links. The other link was to Wikipedia. Since I’ve seen people say that ethnicelebs isn’t reliable because it cites or links to Wikipedia, that’s usually my guideline.

I don’t think linking a Wikipedia page to a well-known person is the same as citing it as a source. Since this site only includes information about genealogy in the text (or sometimes a short background description), it’s interesting to read more about an ancestor that is important or known, but not famous enough, or in the right area, to have a page of their own. It gives the site more depth.

And I have almost never seen a page here that cites Wikipedia as a source, so I don’t understand why that’s a problem.

Do you have any information about her mother’s side? All I know is that Ralston is a Scottish surname.
