Qveen Herby’s paternal grandfather was Leonard William Henry Heidemann (the son of Heinrich Friedrich Wilhelm Otto “Fred” Heidemann and Sophia Dorothea Marie Philipine Caroline Bartels). Leonard was born in Tobias, Nebraska. Friedrich was the son of German emigrants, Friedrich August “Fred” Heidemann and Rebecca Dorothea “Dora/Dorethe” Buhmann, both of Rinteln, Lower Saxony. Sophia was the daughter of German emigrants, Friedrich Christian “Fred” Bartels, of Meerbeck, Lower Saxony, and Anna Sophie Dorothea Bartels, of Hülshagen, Lauenhagen, Lower Saxony, who were first cousins.

Qveen Herby’s paternal grandmother was Violet Faye/Fae Chirnside (the daughter of Thomas Chirnside and Nancy Ann “Annie” Terp). Violet was born in Jansen, Nebraska. Thomas was the son of an English emigrant, John Chirnside, of Ford, Northumberland, and of a Northern Irish emigrant, Ellen Lowry, of Ballynahinch, County Down. Annie was the daughter of a Danish emigrant, Peder (later Peter) Sørensen Terp, of Randbøl, Vejle; and of Sarah Elizabeth Gilmore, who was of English, Northern Irish, as well as distant German, descent.

Qveen Herby’s maternal grandfather was Anthony William “Tony” Seizys (the son of Leo Joseph Seizys and Frances Serutis). Cleo was born in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Frederick Robert Gustafson, who was born in Iowa, to Swedish parents; and of Alice Florence Doyle, whose paternal grandparents were Irish, and whose mother was Canadian, and was herself possibly of Scottish descent.
