Alexis Ohanian is an American internet entrepreneur, investor, and activist. He is the co-founder of Reddit, as well as Hipmunk and Breadpig.

His father, Christopher John “Chris” Ohanian, is an American, whose ancestors were Armenian Genocide survivors. His mother, Anke (Prigge), was a German emigrant, from Hamburg.

Alexis is married to professional tennis player Serena Williams, with whom he has two children.

Alexis’ paternal grandfather was John Avedis Ohanian (the son of Avedis Ohanian and Victoria/Manzer). John was an Armenian emigrant, from Harput.

Alexis’ paternal grandmother was Elizabeth Der Krikorian (the daughter of Gazar Der Krikorian and Elizabeth Hagopian). Alexis’ grandmother Elizabeth was born in Marseille, France, to Armenian Genocide survivors, from Bitlis.
