I am a black Zimbabwean guy. I first heard adele’s music on our local radio channel this year.what surprised me was that she sang that song in our local shona language and she was very fluent! The dj just mentioned after the song that adele was the artist. Since i had enjoyed that song i googled to find out who adele was and that was when i learnt that she was british, when i thought she was one of our black local musicians!
adele have you been to zimbabwe?

She definitely has some welsh in her. I watched an episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks where she said her gran was deeply disappointed that no one knew she was welsh and thought Duffy was hogging all the welsh limelight or something like that.

Her father’s surname is Evans, which is Welsh, and he lives in Wales, so I assume he’s Welsh. That would make her of Welsh descent too?

Im a lil confused with thee above, stating that Adele’s ethnicity is ‘English’. ‘English’ is ‘not’ an ethnic group, it’s a nationality which can include many different races. there’re blacks and asians and whites all residing in England which makes them all ‘English’. I strongly suggest that somebody do the research and correct this mistake, for there is no race none as ‘English’.
