Sorry….don’t usually bother with leaving messages on these things, but I wanted to say that he’s CANADIAN….which there means he is FIRST NATIONS. “Native American” means he’s from the States. It clearly states in his info by his picture that he is Canadian, and the proper term is First Nations.

  2. me says:

I heard someone saying he is only 60% Native American,it’s funny, he looks to be more than 80% Amerindian to me.

    • Alice says:

If someone had a full Native American/Canadian parent and a European descent parent they would look very Native American. So a person could look very indigenous American with 50% Native descent. At least with Adam he displays the phenotype of NAs unlike the many celebrities with minimal to no NA ancestry like Megan Fox. Don’t you agree me?

  3. carly j says:

Canada is in North America! he belongs to a tribe of NATIVE AMERICAN people. it does not say that he is half Canadian. it says that his tribe is from Canada so i’m so sure that he is part white. not to be difficult but i am just trying to clarify.

  4. Amanda says:

I thought he was Native American, but he is Native Canadian Saulteaux which is pretty close…

  5. COMMONSENSE says:

wow … an actor who is actually half native American and looks it. I am shocked

    • COMMONSENSE says:

oh. Sorry. Just realized he is half Native Canadian, not Native Anerican. Pardon my ignorance

    • Miguel Perez says:

      Point taken.

The media likes the look of people of color that are part white or less “ethnic”.

It would seem that psychologically that a ethnic person that is part white is less threatening on some level.

I bet you’re American. Most, if not all Native Americans in the U.S. are Not 100% full blooded. So when someone says they are “half native american” (example: Colton Haynes) in actuality they are far less, like 1/4 or 1/8 therefore that offspring looking less native or not native looking at all.

    • guurl says:

Nonsense. He is a full-blooded native(Saulteaux) He was born on a reservation, and is tribally enrolled. You are measured by your blood quantum in Canada to be able to get status. If he had a white parent it would be known. He never mentioned being anything other than native. His family maternally and paternally consists of other natives. The only European he probably has is indirect. His mother and father were both native, and so are his grandparents. He is the closet thing to a authentic Native North American you can get.
